I am fascinated with the concept of time using visual symbols. After much contemplation and experimentation, spirals, ellipses, and tunnel images resonated with me. The repetition of these symbols are created in 3 dimensional spaces by layering the paint and adding transparencies to the pigments. The grapefruit, the only concrete image, is a symbol of my mom. It appears occasionally tucked into a spinning spiral or lays flat on an ellipse, as it rotates in it's own visual plane.
